Making German Finance Understandable

We bridge the gap between complex financial rules and everyday decisions. Born from curiosity, built for clarity.

Why We Started

MyFinanceBuddy was born out of a shared frustration: knowing how to navigate the German financial market can be incredibly rewarding, but is notoriously complex. From tax classes to the '3-Pillar Pension System', finding clear answers is often harder than it should be.

We are a mix of Germans and Expats who wanted to understand exactly where our money goes. When we couldn't find tools that were simple and transparent enough for our own needs, we decided to build them.

"Financial literacy shouldn't require a degree. It should be free, transparent, and unbiased for everyone living in Germany."

Our Philosophy

We are driven by transparency, not commissions.

100% Unbiased

We are not a bank or a broker. We do not sell financial products. Our calculations are purely mathematical, giving you neutral data to make your own decisions.

Locals & Expats

We understand both perspectives. Whether you grew up with 'Bausparvertrag' or are just learning what 'Schufa' means, our tools and articles try to bridge the cultural gap.

Passion over Profit

We are nerds, not salespeople. We built this platform because we love numbers and researching, and we believe high-quality tools should be free for everyone.

By Enthusiasts, For Enthusiasts

It is important to know that we are not certified financial advisors. We are finance geeks and improvised software engineers who love digging through numbers and regulations. While we strive for perfection and update our data constantly, our tools are for educational purposes. We provide the math, you make the decision.
